My family and I grow amazing lion's mane and oyster mushrooms and make a variety of dishes but our favorite is fresh mushroom sauce. Check out our recipe section (coming soon) for our "Marry Me Mushroom Sauce" that can go with anything from beef, chicken, or pork. This sauce is so good you will dip your bread in it! Dehydrated lion's mane or oyster mushroom chips are a surprisingly delicious and tremendously healthy snack with an extended shelf life.
Masters Mix Ratios
We have the greatest amount of success when we use Masters Mix - Lion's Mane with a ration of 80% pure oak wood and 20% farm fresh wheat bran. Lion's Mane mushrooms are a fast growing mushroom and faster growing mushrooms have a reduced chance of contamination. The less wheat bran added to the substrate the less chances there are for contamination. However, if you choose to blend your own substrate we have suggested some effective Masters Mix ratios below.
- 80% oak + 20% wheat bran - optimal ratio*
- 50% oak + 50% wheat bran - highest suggested ratio
- 90% oak + 10% wheat bran - lowest suggested ratio
